ALEX
PAULINO
MATERIALS COORDINATOR
"I'm usually supporting the team by measuring homes and delivering materials to your project. You will also see me make minor touch-ups or any small repairs to your project if they're needed."
JOINED STRAIGHTLINE IN 2015
Scott said, "family is our favorite word." And he's not joking. StraightLine is a family business and I'm 2nd generation! I joined the team in 2015 and have been here since high school basically. My dad works for StraightLine so I’ve been working with him ever since I was able.
"I love designing and building things"
I'VE LEARNED A LOT SINCE STARTING HERE
I love learning more and more about how to design and build things. I'm lucky to be here with my Dad and Scott. They have taught me a lot. Now I'm OK to do repairs and touch-ups by myself because I know exactly how it needs to be done.
ONE UNEXPECTED PERK OF WORKING HERE AT STRAIGHTLINE
I kind of get to sight-see. It's actually one of my favorite things about my job. I like to drive all around town and goes places I've never been before. It's always great to explore a bit of here, there and everywhere. We live in a really cool place and I don't want to take that for granted.
"I took courses in carpentry and architecture and I love being hands-on"
I LIKE WORKING HERE BECAUSE THEY'RE REALLY EASY TO WORK FOR
Work is a lot more enjoyable when you like the people you work with and they treat you right. Here, it's like that. I get to work one on one with clients and with Scott. If I need anything he's always really responsive.
OUTSIDE OF WORK
I design and build things with my Dad. We make lots of different things, but one of the most common is furniture. It's kind of funny that we work on construction all day and then go home and have fun doing more construction.
"there’s no separation between the team. We’re all really communicative"
OVER 20 YEARS OF HELPING HOMEOWNERS PROTECT & BEAUTIFY THEIR PROPERTY
We're celebrating 20 years of service to the Portland Metro & Greater Vancouver areas. Both home & business owners have given us the chance to prove ourselves. We appreciate hard work and the opportunity to do it. So to them, "Thank You". Building a small business isn't easy, especially in a line of work where shady characters can prey on homeowners, abusing trust and taking off before jobs are complete. Unlike some contractors, we're absolutely proud of our reputation. Many long days, and a whole lot of elbow grease has built this business from the ground up. Now we're stronger than we've ever been. Cheers to the next 20 years. We hope you'll join us.
OUR CHARITABLE GIVING INITIATIVES
We believe in giving back! We work with a transnational charity foundation to provide life changing necessities to villages in South America. The more we grow, the more we give. There's no better feeling than making a positive impact on someone's life and by partnering with charities we can maximize our efforts.
