I’ve been at StraightLine for 18 years! I’ve worked at different companies before like framing, roofing and siding. I’ve done kind of a lot.

WORKING HERE IS GREAT, SO I NEVER LEFT
It’s so easy and so nice, they’re flexible and a lot of people aren’t. Also, Scott is super good because he helps out if he needs to. If we’re behind and we need to finish up he’s come over and put on a tool belt or a nail gun and he actually helps do the work. It’s totally different than other places, you know, he doesn’t treat you differently. He’s part of the team.

We work very fast and we work very hard. If we're on the job then we're on the job. We don't slow down. But, we still have fun. We can do what we need to do and be safe and have fun and work hard. That's how we do it. That's the secret to having a good time with what you do and being successful with everyone.

I choose to work at StraightLine because, unlike some other places I’ve been at, they keep their word. Scott’s very honest with everything and he always pays on time. I don’t get written off or handed some excuse. That’s why I’m still here, he treats me really good. And if anybody ever needs some money, like to borrow or have an advance for rent or something he always helps.
OUTSIDE OF WORK
My hobbies outside of work are carpentry. Me and my son Alex build a lot of furniture for friends and family. People show me a picture of what they want and I ask how much they want to spend, then we get to work building it and it’s a lot of fun. I love to stay busy, woodworking is a passion of mine for sure.

We're celebrating 20 years of service to the Portland Metro & Greater Vancouver areas. Both home & business owners have given us the chance to prove ourselves. We appreciate hard work and the opportunity to do it. So to them, "Thank You". Building a small business isn't easy, especially in a line of work where shady characters can prey on homeowners, abusing trust and taking off before jobs are complete. Unlike some contractors, we're absolutely proud of our reputation. Many long days, and a whole lot of elbow grease has built this business from the ground up. Now we're stronger than we've ever been.
